In 1994, only 3 million people were connected to the net.
By 1997, more than 100 million were using it.
The internet is now growing faster than ALL other technologies that have preceded it.
The Radio existed for 38 years before ot had 50 million listerners.
TV took 13 years to reach that mark.
The Internet crossed the line in just 4 years.

A good technology website to look at would be:

My personal experience with the internet first started when i was probably in year 6 at home playing games on the web but even though the very handy Wikipedia was available online in 2001 Up until year 6 (1996) my research for class projects was done through borrowing books from the library, then in high school i became more familiar with the web in particular Google and through that wikipedia. Even though Facebook and Myspace were both released in 2003 my friends didn't start using them until year 11. I on the other hand rebelled against the norm and didn't become addicted to interacting with people over the web mainly because i rather catch up with my mates in person and found spending many hours on the web looking at stranger's accounts a waist of time i also don't really like the fact that technology was/is becoming apart of every day life its all so robotic. and even though blogger was invented in 1999 i didn't have one until now (2010) and not because i chose to but as part of a class assignment, although in saying that i don't mind blogs i think there much better that facebook, myspace and twitter (created in 2006). I also dont mind e-mailing (invented in 1966)
